Membership: The requirements are as follows.
- A current member of the American Legion, Auxiliary, Son
of the American Legion. Or the spouse of an owner who is an association
member.
- You must own a motorcycle of at least 350cc in size or be
the spouse of an owner who is an association member.

Elections
- Election of American Legion Riders officers will be held
annually at such time as determined by the general membership.

Duties of Officers
- President: Will
serve as Chief Administrative Officer of the Association and preside
over all meetings. Have general supervision over the affairs of the
Association. He or She shall perform such other duties as directed by
the general membership.
- Vice President: Will
assume the duties of the President in his or her absence and assist the
President in the performance of his or her duties as directed by the
president.
- Secretary: Will keep a
full and correct record of all proceedings at the meetings. Keep
membership records as may be required by the general membership. Give
detailed financial reports at each regular meeting.
- Treasurer: Have charge of
all finances of the Association. Disburse funds as directed by the
general membership and provide copies to the Post if requested.
- Ride Coordinator: Will be
the Logistics person in charge of organized rides of the Association.
He/She will determine dates, times, routes and meeting place for those
taking part in a ride activity. Ride Coordinator may appoint an
assistant Ride Coordinator or take any other measures he or she feel
necessary to insure the safety of the group during a ride.

Meetings
- Meeting will be held at a date, time and location
designated by the majority of the membership. Five members will
constitute a quorum.

Finances
- Finances of each Association Chapter will be from
Association
- Membership dues or such other sources, as approved by the
membership.

Expulsion
- Any member may be expelled or suspended form the
Association by a majority Vote of the general membership at a regular
Chapter meeting.

Chapter Membership
- Each State Chapter may determine eligibility for Chapter
Membership in its Own State Chapter.

Residency
- Each Chapter will be known by the State in which its
majority of members reside. Chapters may be further
broken down into District and Post.

Governing Rules
- Each State Chapter may elect to adopt a set of standing
rules to govern its Membership or, at the Chapters discretion, amend
these By-Laws. These standing rules, or By-Laws amendments, shall be no
less stringent than those contained in these By-Laws nor can they be in
any conflict with the National Constitution and By-Laws of the American
Legion or that of the Sponsoring Post.

Disbursement of Funds
- Disbursement of funds will be only those authorized at
any regular meeting of the chapter. Each
Chapter will be a non-profit organization and may only disburse funds
in a manner that is in keeping with all Local, State and National laws
regarding non-profit organizations.
Order
- All meetings shall be conducted under “Roberts
Rules Of Order”.
